“We visited the parliament. It’s necessary to know that South Africa is a democratic republic where the power is divided into three parts:
-legislative power
-executive power
-judiciary power
We visited the “room” of the parliament, it’s the place where there are the debates.
We learnt what is the “mace”, it’s a symbolic sceptre which opens and closes a debate.
The “mace” was invented in 1999.
During this afternoon, we learnt many things about South Africa and how it functions.”
