Wednesday 7th Perth

Today was a really sunny day and we visited Perth City with some of our Australian buddies. 

We went to the Bell Tower, and it  was actually really beautiful, modern and impressive ! The guide was really cool and funny. He explained the bells’ history to us, and how they are rang. It was interesting. We also tried ringing the bells ! So funny but quite hard to do. 

Then, we visited the Perth Mint. This is actually the place where the coins are made. The guide was really funny too. We saw the world’s largest gold coin, then the gold nuggets, and the guide showed us how the gold bars were made. 

After this, with Valérie, Olivia, Johanna, Zoe, Célia, Benoit, Sifan, Moni, Robbie, Romain, Lisa and some others we went to eat qt an « artsy » bar which is loved by some of our Australian friends and it was really good and the place was really relaxing and beautiful. 

Then, we joined the others at the council house and we met the Economic Development and International Relations Manager . Johanna, Valérie and I did a little speech to him and then the council house gave us some gifts from Perth. 

Finally, we went back to school by bus. 

This day was really tiring but exciting, the buildings were actually so nice and the city is a really relaxing and impressive place, can’t wait to do shopping there !

Aujourd’hui,  le soleil était au rendez-vous et nous avons visité Perth City avec certains de nos copains australiens.

Nous sommes allés à la Bell Tower, et c’était vraiment beau, moderne et impressionnant ! Le guide était vraiment cool et drôle. Il nous a expliqué l’histoire des cloches et comment elles sont sonnées. C’était intéressant. Nous avons également sonné les cloches !  Très drôle mais assez compliqué. Ensuite, nous avons visité la Perth Mint. C’est l’endroit où l’argent est fait. Le guide était vraiment amusant aussi. Nous avons vu la plus grande pièce d’or du monde, puis les pépites d’or, et le guide nous a montré comment les barre d’or sont faites. 

Après ça, avec Valérie, Olivia, Johanna, Zoe, Célia, Benoit, Sifan, Moni, Robbie, Romain, Lisa et d’autres, nous sommes allés dans un bar «artistique» que certains de nos amis australiens aimaient  pour déjeuner. C’était vraiment bien et l’endroit était vraiment relaxant et magnifique.

Ensuite, nous avons rejoint l’autre groupe à la Mairie, et nous avons rencontré le responsable du développement économique et des relations internationales. 

Johanna, Valérie et moi lui avons fait un petit discours, puis la mairie nous a offert des cadeaux de Perth. Nous sommes ensuite retournés à l’école en bus.

Cette journée a été vraiment fatigante mais excitante, les bâtiments étaient en fait très agréables et la ville est un endroit vraiment relaxant et impressionnant, j’ai hâte de faire du shopping là-bas!
