Mercredi 28 février 2018 au CDI – Avec leur professeur de lettres, les élèves de 2des 1 puis les 2des 2 ont rencontré Camille Magnard, journaliste à France Culture pendant 1h30. Pour les 2des 1, un débat très riche s’est engagé entre Camille Magnard et les élèves sur le métier de journaliste, les fake news, le complotisme… Pour les 2des 2, une partie discussion, puis les élèves (par groupes) se sont mis dans la peau d’une rédaction de radio pour créer les titres d’un bulletin d’infos à partir des journaux...

Saturday was our last day in Australia. After a beginning of the day with the host families, we all gathered once again, this time in another wonderful place in Perth on the banks of the Swan River (Matilda Bay). We shared snacks, played ball and some went kayaking, then Romain made a moving thank you speech. Today , it’s Rottnest Island !! We went by train and boat to this island which is famous because of the presence of Quokkas, a little animal like a kangaroo ! It’s very cute, like you can see on photos but we’re not allowed to touch them or feed them. This animal is in the origin of the name of the island because at the the beginning we called the place «Rats nest» because the Quokkas look like a rat and over time it became «Rottnest» ! First of all, Rottnest Island was a prison for the Aboriginals but today it just a fabulous island to visit...

Aujourd’hui nous avons été bien accueillis par le golf vines club. Ce club est tout proche du lycée et accueille régulièrement des lycéens en fournissant tout le matériel. La Reynella team s’est donc essayée au golf. Quelques air shot et d’autres « hot » shot ont été joués ou tentés. Une matinée placée sous le signe de la découverte des uses et coutumes de ce sport pratiqué de plus en plus jeune. Aujourd’hui c’était le dernier de cours à Perth. Pour les deux premières heures je suis allée en français avec quelques autres élèves et nous avons aidé les australiens à travailler sur leur oral de français qu’il appelle ici « stimulus ». Ensuite les deux heures suivantes je suis partie en anglais avec les year 12. Ils travaillaient sur une pièce de théâtre de Shakespeare intitulée « The templest ». SPECIAL REPORT FROM MARIE FERTÉ AND EMMA FABIANI The program this morning : At 7.00 in the morning we had a quick run for the bravests in the Flinders Chase National Park. A good breakfast waited for us at 8.00 am to regain some strength and then we went for a walk in the forest with a surprise at the end of this effort : a desert white sand beach ! SPECIAL REPORT FROM MARIE RAMIN AND SOLENNE ROUDAUT First day at Kangaroo Island To go to Kangaroo Island we took the ferry Then we went to the first place we visited : the Raptor Domain, Birds of Prey. We attended a bird’s presentation. We saw 10 birds in total : Eagles, a falcon, a parrot, owls, etc and two guides spoke to us about the birds. Aujourd’hui pour commencer la journée nous avons deux heures de cours, pour moi c’était de l’anglais. Leurs travaille était d’inventer une histoire parlant de crime et de l’écrire. Après ça nous sommes allés prendre le « yellow cat » un bus gratuit qui nous as emmenés jusqu’au centre ville. Today was the most exhausting but amazing day ! We met at 8:00 am and jumped in the bus for 1 hour of travel. We stopped at Caversham Wildlife Park and we saw (and touched !) all the most endemic animales in Australia : kangaroos, koalas, wombats, snakes… They were all cute and soft. We again took the bus and went to Lobster Snack where we visited the center where lobsters are stocked to be selled and ate fish and chips.
